Bucks Tracking Poll Results: Week 4

Support for Griffin & Beasley is up after a string of Ws

Our latest Tuesday Tracker posed ten questions, some centered around preseason expectations compared to reality at the fifteen-game mark. We also went back to the fifth starter well, and the results look significantly different than when the question was posed a week prior thanks to a Malik Beasley hot streak and a MarJon Beauchamp injury. Here’s a rundown:

  • Nearly half (48%) of respondents think Beasley should remain a starter, up a whopping 34% from a week prior. Beauchamp’s share dropped 42%, while recent spot-starter Andre Jackson Jr. has a small but solid group of fans lobbying for him to be the guy.
  • On the oft-discussed topic of Giannis initiating the offense/ball-handling, the majority of those polled (58%) think he’s not doing too much in that regard.
  • Half of respondents think that defensive rebounding is the negative trend that the Bucks should be addressing most right now, though 35% think transition D needs more work.
  • 71% of readers think the Bucks are meeting preseason expectations record-wise at this point, 48% think the offense is as good as they’d hoped, but 88% think the defense is worse than they’d anticipated.
  • There’s a decent split among those asked about whether or not the Bucks need an average defense to win a championship, with 43% saying they could be worse than average and still get a ring, while 37% say that can’t happen.
  • Griffin’s approval rating is up 20% this week, establishing a new season high, and confidence that the current squad could win this year’s title returns to near its previous level of two weeks ago (84%).
