In their return to Fiserv Forum, the Milwaukee Bucks knocked off the Atlanta Hawks in a high-scoring affair, 132-121.
Bobby Portis’ 13 points in the first quarter were a massive spark for the Bucks. Khris Middleton aided the efforts in the opening frame with ten of his own, while Giannis chipped in with nine. All of that resulted in the Bucks getting a 42-37 lead after one.
Hot shooting for both teams continued throughout the second quarter. Trae Young led all scorers through two stanzas at 20 points. At halftime, Milwaukee held a 67-63 lead.
That fast-paced scoring? It continued to remain the theme for both teams throughout the third. A near buzzer-beating arched shot from Bogdan Bogdanovic made it 99-98 Milwaukee going into the final quarter of regulation.
Stat That Stood Out
We knew the offenses would shine in this one, and boy, did they ever. Both teams were flying up and down the court, creating exciting basketball to watch. When it was all said and done, the Bucks had the more efficient offense, going 53-of-89 from the floor for a 59.6 percentage and victory. Oh yeah, that Giannis Antetokounmpo guy also got a triple-double.
