Giannis Antetokounmpo named Eastern Conference Player of the Month for December

Congrats, Giannis!

Looks like Giannis Antetokounmpo needs to find some room on his trophy case.

This afternoon, the NBA announced that he had been awarded December Eastern Conference Player of the Month.

Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won December’s Player of the Month for the Western Conference.

This is Giannis’ 10th career Conference Player of the Month award, and it was arguably his most deserving. Through 13 December games, the Greek Freak averaged 32.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game. He led the Bucks to an 11-2 record during that stretch and scored a career-high and franchise-record 64 points in a win over the Pacers.

Hats off to Giannis for an incredible stretch. Let’s hope this isn’t the last Conference Player of the Month he takes home this season!
