NBA: Utah Jazz at Milwaukee Bucks Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

In a hot-shooting night, the Utah Jazz knocked off the Milwaukee Bucks, 132-116, despite Giannis Antetokounmpo’s triple-double. Box Score

The Jazz couldn’t miss from beyond the arc to begin this one. A flurry of players connected on threes, quickly making it a lopsided affair. At the end of the one, Utah ended up burying 11 threes, which granted them a 41-23 lead.

The three ball continued to fall for Utah. At the break, they had hit 16 of them, paving their way to a massive 77-46 lead. They also had five players in double-digits.

Bobby Portis’ passion began to soar off the charts in the third quarter. He’d come alive off the bench and helped pull Milwaukee right back into the thick of things. After being down 31 at half, it was just 100-90 in favor of Utah going into the fourth.

After spending all that energy to get the deficit within reach, the Bucks simply didn’t have enough left in the tank to secure this one. It was a valiant effort, but they ultimately fell short and were defeated, 132-116.

Stat That Stood Out

I mean, all night long, the Bucks seemed out of sorts. You could tell right from the opening tip. The perimeter defense was non-existent all night and it resulted in sloppiness. The Jazz finished with 20 threes on the night at a clip of 45.5 percent. Yikes. Gonna be tough to win any game with hot shooting and perimeter defense like that.
